Last week, Two Birds Talking kindly invited me backstage at the Kookai Spring Summer 2014/15 runway show at the always beautiful space at Carriageworks.
As I walked in I was greeted by the Napoleon Perdis team working their magic on none other than Aussie super Nicole Trunfio. Models were bronzed and glowing, Napoleon's signature, which popped against the brights and whites of the clothing.
Master of the manes, Alan White, was the man behind hair with his team from GHD, creating two looks with models' hair pulled back into polished ponytails as well as creating loose, effortless girl-next-door waves for others.
I was completely enamoured by the statuesque Alexandra Agoston who was just as lovely as she is stunning. The show also featured Nicole Pollard and the gorgeous Hannah Saul.
The Spring Summer 2014/15 collection itself was beautiful, fresh and youthful, with models reclining on white deck chairs in the new season styles. I am completely convinced that I need to incorporate a bit more colour than my standard black and white (and the occasional grey or navy) when the weather warms up.
