THE LOOK: KARLA SPETIC AT MBFWA

The Karla Špetić show was one of the shows I was looking forward to most, her creations are some of the most beautiful and intricate pieces I've come across. I don't consider myself to be a true girly girl by any means however there is something about the Karla's clothes embrace femininity in such a way that empowers the wearer is truly incredible.

The show definitely disappoint and I felt as if I had been transported into a magical water world with models walking the perimeter of the swimming pool at the Eora Fitness Centre in Redfern. Sheer organza panelling, thigh-high splits, slippery satins and cut-out details met with white cottons, loose double-breasted blazers, button-ups and high necks. Even cooler, models wore squeaky clean white Reebok trainers customised with the intials KŠ. The clothes were predominantly white with hints of glimmering metallic finishes in pale pink, silver, champagne, black and the prettiest multi-coloured abalone shell print.

The beauty look was one of my favourites from the entire week - can we please talk about those eyes? I actually purchased the perfect and opaque white liquid eyeliner from Stila just weeks ago and I have been dying to use it. I love how it just opens up the eyes and brings so much life to the face. The silver glitter along the lower lashline really ties the look together and the end result perfectly channels sweet mystical mermaids. Skin was dewy and fresh, pearlescent highlights added a glow that paired back beautifully with the crisp palette of the clothing.

Overall, another standout collection from Karla: pure, clean, crisp and oh so dreamy. Poolside perfection.
