BEAUTY SPOT: TOO FACED BULLETPROOF BROWS

One use and I was hooked.

Read on to hear why...

It wasn’t until a few years ago that I realised how much of an impact eyebrows have on someone’s face. When I first started dabbling into the wonderful world of makeup some years ago I was overwhelmed with all these choices. Being a dark haired girl I never really understood why I needed to fill in my brows but because I seeing as a lot of people kept banging on about how important it was I decided to have a go. Mind you I didn’t have any eyebrow products in my possession so, like I did was a lot of her makeup, I stole my mother’s brown eyeliner and started drawing caterpillars above my eyes. And let me tell you now – never use eyeliner to fill in your brows. Eyebrow pencils exist for a reason, ladies. I then went on to using a powder and never really looked back.

Fast forward to the weekend before last when I realised I wasn’t happy with my brows and so I left the house browless with the intention of checking out Stila’s brow marker as I have heard wonderful things. And it was by fate/chance/destiny that Too Faced’s Bulletproof Brows and I met.

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways…

I don’t usually go for a colour so dark as I usually opt for a colour a couple of shades lighter than my hair colour so this scared me a little. However there was nothing for me to be afraid of as it is the most beautiful and natural looking brown that blends in beautifully with my existing brow hairs. It’s also a universally flattering shade for all brunettes so would work perfectly for girls with lighter brown hair too.

The texture is a beautiful creamy wax that works in wonderfully to set the brows while defining them all at once. It also dries down to a powder so it doesn’t leave your brows feeling hard or stuck together.

And finally the brush, oh the brush. I was absolutely elated when I found out that it came with this double-ended beauty. It has a fine, angled brush on one end that is the perfect match for working with the wax and on the other is a gorgeous hard spooly that is a dream to run through the brows.

And I can’t testify to this myself but apparently it’s waterproof and smudgeproof. Ah-mazing.

I honestly can’t tell you how happy I am to have found my 'holy grail' brow product and I’m sure I’ll be purchasing this for years to come. Let me know what your favourite cannot live without products are!
